Major Discount Hits Dreame’s Flagship Robot Cleaner

Dreame has issued a significant price cut on its high-end X50 Ultra robot vacuum and mop hybrid. The device, which originally launched at $1,599.99 and typically sells for roughly $1,100, has dropped to $899.99 on Amazon for Prime subscribers. Dreame is also offering the machine directly through its own web store for $849.99 for users with a free account.

Step-Climbing Hardware and Hands-Off Maintenance

First introduced in early 2025, the X50 Ultra is engineered to clean both hard floors and carpets. A defining physical feature is its ability to mount thresholds and short steps measuring up to 6 centimeters (over 2 inches) in height, preventing the unit from getting trapped between rooms with uneven transitions. For perimeter cleaning, the robot uses extending mop pads capable of reaching underneath low-clearance cabinets and furniture.

The accompanying multi-function base station handles daily upkeep autonomously. The dock can detach, wash, and dry the mopping pads without user intervention. It also features an auto-empty dustbin system that stores collected debris for weeks at a time; Dreame rates the storage capacity at up to 100 days between bag replacements, depending on household dirt levels. Users are still required to manually refill the clean water tank based on mopping frequency.

Overcoming Obstacles in Autonomous Home Cleaning

Threshold navigation has historically been a common failure mode for autonomous floor cleaners, with standard chassis designs often stranding machines between room transitions. High-end hybrids like the X50 Ultra increasingly incorporate motorized chassis lifts and fully automated docking stations that wash pads, dry them with heated air, and empty debris bins to reduce regular consumer intervention.
