Nhà báo công nghệ Kevin Roose hé lộ “đội quân” AI agent thường nhật và dự án mới trước thềm ra mắt 'The AGI Chronicles'

Prominent technology journalist and author Kevin Roose has shared an inside look at how generative artificial intelligence and autonomous software agents have integrated into his daily productivity setup. The disclosure, featured in The Verge’s Installer newsletter, arrives alongside the release of his new book, The AGI Chronicles, and preparations for an upcoming media project.

Life with an AI Agent Swarm

Roose detailed a daily workflow heavily reliant on voice input and autonomous bots. Relying on tools like Superwhisper and Voice Memos, he noted that he barely types anymore. He also built his own customized reading software, vibe-coding a Pocket replacement called Stash.

Beyond single-purpose tools, Roose revealed that he actively runs a personal "swarm" of AI agents across several platforms:

  • Skynet: A ChatGPT Dot-powered agent utilized primarily for managing personal tasks.
  • Hootie: A dedicated workplace assistant running on the Town app, introduced to him by journalist Casey Newton.
  • Nancy: A Muse agent tasked with automated trading on the prediction market Kalshi, which Roose noted has lost him $41 to date.

Roose separates his mobile setup into categorized folders, maintaining a dedicated AI folder for his bots, a "green flags" folder for enriching apps, and a "red flags" folder containing social media apps.

New Book and Media Projects

The look into Roose’s AI-heavy workflow coincides with the rollout of The AGI Chronicles, his newly published book examining the developments, promises, and industry realities surrounding artificial general intelligence.

Following the conclusion of previous media efforts, Roose and longtime collaborator Casey Newton are also preparing to launch Machine Gods, a new YouTube-first show scheduled to debut next week.

In addition to his productivity bots, Roose highlighted experimental consumer AI software currently catching his attention, pointing to Google Labs' Dreambeans. The experimental application generates personalized, daily AI illustrations paired with activity suggestions—offering a whimsical look at how tech giants are experimenting with generative visuals directly tailored to individual routines.
