Bluesky Expands Attie AI Tool to Let Users Create and Share Social Apps
Bluesky is expanding its Attie AI tool, originally launched to build custom feeds, to let users create lightweight social apps like games and polls using text prompts.

Bluesky is expanding the capabilities of its Attie AI tool, enabling users to create and share lightweight social applications directly through text prompts.
Attie initially launched earlier this year as a feature allowing users to build custom social feeds using artificial intelligence. With the latest update, the tool now empowers community members to generate "small" interactive social experiences—such as games, polls, and dashboards—that can be shared with others as standalone websites.
Speaking in an interview at TechCrunch Disrupt, Bluesky CEO Toni Schneider described the tool's core philosophy as "social vibe coding or vibe coding for your community."
From Prompts to Playable Apps
Building an app with Attie requires only a text prompt. For instance, generating a simple poll about Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue takes just a few minutes.
The Attie website currently highlights several full-featured examples to showcase the tool's potential, including:
- A Flappy Bird clone titled “Flappy Butterfly”
- A drum machine
- A quiz
- An idle clicker game featuring a celery man
Each generated app receives a custom link on the attie.site domain, complete with attribution for the creator at the bottom of the page. While these applications currently function primarily as lightweight novelties, the expansion points toward a more interactive, community-driven approach to social media integration.
